It began as a last ditch effort to grill the bill in not but a weeks time, for the spirit of the gator is crawling ever-forward. Never stagnant. Circulate!
THE GREAT ACHE - listen
The Great Ache have been putting introspective lyrics to loud, catchy garage rock since they formed in early 2015.
SUPERVISOR - listen
Supervisor is a 4-piece Chicago rock band, blending guitar rock with pop-forward melodies to capture the struggles of middle adulthood and celebrity obsessions. GENTLE HEAT

Wed. Jan. 24 - 9:00 pm - 21+ - BUY TICKETS HERE!

WVRSHIP

Thu. Jan. 25 - 9:00 pm - 21+ - BUY TICKETS HERE!
Record release show for Wvrship's new 7" "Archer Road" from Dead Nun Records and No Trend Records!
WVRSHIP - listen
Wvrship is a project that relies on it's straight forward simplicity. Overdriven bass and drums with melodic vocals. Rock n' roll!
ROLLO TOMASI - listen
Dynamic, aggressive post-punk. Rollo Tomasi marries heavy, minimalist guitar riffs ala Helmet and Quicksand with thick, disorted bass lines played over focused, four-on-the-floor drumming. Their tightly constructed songs are upbeat but deliberately side-step cliche melodies in favor of something much more powerful... a dense wall of sound that lures you in by force.
LIP (members of The Arrivals, The Matics, and The Textbook Committee)
Lip is Mertz and Ronnie from The Matics, rounded out by Chris Landefeld on bass, picking up where that solid crew left off. Lip take the power, menace and precision of their former band and move it forward, distilled into a mean-burning, power trio.

Boss Fight is a group of four guys who honestly each believe they are the worst member of the band, and that the other three are geniuses who more than make up for whatever damage they cause. The result is a group of friends who have the time of their lives when they play together, and wouldn't trade it for anything. We hope you enjoy it half as much as we do.
DOG & WOLF
Captivating. Original. Sober. None of these are words to describe Chicago punk trio Dog & Wolf.

SALVATION - listen
Salvation is a Noise-Rock trio out of Chicago, IL. Over a pounding rhythm section provided by Vic Riley and Santiago Guerrero, the harsh screeching guitars leave some room for Jason Sipe's palatable yet tortured vocals. Royal Fucks was released on Tape and CD in 2015 (now out of print) and in March 2017, "Sore Loser" was released by Forge Again Records.
RIBBONHEAD - listen
Ribbonhead is a three piece from Chicago settled somewhere in the neighborhood of hardcore/post-hardcore/punk/post-punk. All explosive intensity, spit and sweat flying.
COORDINATED SUICIDES - listen

WET MOUTH - listen
Wet Mouth is Matt Lemke, long standing Chicago resident and seasoned player. Formative roles were mostly guitar focused, but analogue synthesizers were part of his early development, as music has deep roots in his family. Years of collecting & trading gear while listening & playing incessantly have enabled him to hone in a sound that is very much his own. Thick infectious rhythms are like some timeless cosmic clock your body dials into. Potent familial melodies drift incalculably into each other. These are the songs people write screenplays for. While Lemke nods to his elders (Eno, Duster, Broadcast) there is nothing contrived about it. Complete sincerity.
PUSHOVRS - listen
If Lou Reed and Frank Black had a baby that baby would write a poem of how awesome Pushovrs is as a dynamic one piece who blends between the realm of rock and art.

BOXSLEDDER

Fri. Feb. 02 - 9:00 pm - 21+ - BUY TICKETS HERE!
BOXSLEDDER (members of Johnny Bodacious and the Bad Attitudes) - listen
Boxsledder is about taking a collective voyage into a realm in which no one has to grow up, everyone speaks solely in quotes from movies, bees are no longer endangered, and dreams come true. All whilst lacking talent, attractiveness, and witty mic banter. Also, sometimes they play music.
THE BURST AND BLOOM - listen
The Burst and Bloom, is a 3 piece rock band native to the City of Chicago. The best way to describe them is three life long friends that lock themselves in a room and turn a hard day, several beers, and a bottle of bourbon into a song. They are all ex-members of another defunct band The New Diet. Musical influences span from bands like Brand New, Modest Mouse, Death Cab For Cutie, Weezer, American Football, and Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s to other influences from artist like Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, and Jay Electronica. The music definitely has a familiar feeling to it with undertones that definitely set them a part from other bands. Putting a lot of emphasis on guitar, bass, and drum tones is matched by the lyrical content and the need to make music that they would want to listen to. Currently TBAB is playing whenever they can to get their new music out there. They made their debut show in the spring of 2016 co-headlining the House of Blues. Currently, they are recording more music after releasing 3 songs collectively called Bricktop Demos recorded at Bricktop Studios with Pete Grossman.

Over It., and other Midwest emo influences.
